KIDS YOGA! This class is inspired by observing my teacher Abhijata Iyengar in India teach a studio of 80 kids (of all ages) a joyful and challenging yoga class. Kids will hear the Sanskrit names of poses and move at a fun pace. Yoga class will last 45 minutes, then children can change into a swimsuit and take a dip in our backyard pool. My daughter Esther (age 10) begged me to teach kids yoga again this summer. So here it is! But with six kids not 80!
If you have been affected by federal budget cuts, job loss, are a student, or struggling with increased costs of living – YOGA is STILL an option for you. Karma based payments are welcomed.

What is Iyengar Yoga and why does it matter?
Iyengar Yoga involves detailed instructions and sequencing to emphasize alignment and precision. The use of props by a skillful teacher makes poses accessible for everybody to practice them correctly and safely. Iyengar Yoga is for all bodies and all beings. Everyone is welcome. Beyond fitness, Iyengar Yoga aligns the body with the mind. Through a steady dedicated practice, asanas become a form of meditation, and the breath guides us towards a quiet and steady mind.
